SURROUNDINGS: PEÑAFLOR
Peñaflor possesses a rich legacy in past cultures that is demonstrated by the existence of preserved well vestiges and that goes from Tartessos, Iberians, Romans, Visigoths and Arabian to the Christians.
The visitor can submerge in the monumental patrimony of the urban hull, which has been declared Heritage of Cultural Interest. The most famous monument is San's Pedro church Apostle, who was constructed on the lot of a Mudejar building that crumbled con the tremor of 1755.
Other constructions are the hermitage of the Incarnation, the hermitage
of the Virgin of Villadiego, the castle almohade (s. VIII-XIII) and
Peñaflor's archaeological museum.
GASTRONOMY: The pieces of hunt are the base of the kitchen. The stew of
partridge or of rabbit is a good sample. conout forgetting asparagus,
crumbs and local dishes as the alcauciles a la andaluza.
